Booklet Design~Printing Process: Group Work

Konbanwa everyone,

Finally reached home from a long day of printing/folding :D

So,

Today we got to print the booklet 29Copies :/

and we have 6-booklets per person *kool ha* heehee

Thanks to my friends: Maryam, SaraQ, Dero, FR, and sahwa for helping in the printing process

and Maryam, Sara.H, and Reem in the Design phase

Those are some random images while doing the final process: the 6 booklets in one pack, and writing the names on it (to make sure that everyone got there pack)

This is the wall on my right: full of typographic images for our what so called "Designing Arabic typeface" project lol ... we were critiquing some of those images :/ stating that it will help us ti develop a better idea and understanding about Arabic typography ..

Bag problem: This is no the bag i will be carrying everyday, it is the one i will take to the airport and will have most of the essential stuff !!

Now, im really wondering which bag to take with me :/

I have 4 options now

1) My Mickey Mouse bag, is one of my favorite bags. it's very comfortable :D

2) The Hello Kitty bag: Okay, im being childish here, but it's pretty functional in terms of space. i have bought it last year and honestly didnt get the change to you it.

3) This bag is very beg: everything seems to be lost inside it :P

wearing it is very comfortable too.

4)This is the last option i have: pretty big and loose lol.

Im more into the first 2 options!

and more into the Hello Kitty one!

Japan Trip: Booklet Design~

Konichiwa

Thursday is getting near <3>

I woke up at 10:00 head immediately to my lovely cave

and started Designing the Japan Trip Boo

I started first on gathering the info for Tokyo places, to make the designing phase very easy.

Then i started to Design the first zone which is, Higashiyama-North East area

Reem, Sara H, and Maryam are helping me in the design phase. "thank you guys"

and to make everything goes smoothly, i assigned for them and zones they have to design.

Each zone will have a color :)

This booklet will include a small information about the place+how to get to it+Hours and Fees.

and in the back, each zone will have a directional map or subway stations route map.

Those are the finished two zones Higashiyama and Tokyo areas.

Inshallah, we will start the printing phase tomorrow or the day after, Wednesday.

It's been a while since i posted (*^_^*)

There are many things going on and many are happening
Starting from counting down the days to the Japan trip this coming Thursday.

Feb, 25th, Flight >12:30 AM

My room is a disaster. It's like a turnado has past into it. lol

been told several times not to bring a big bag, but this is the only one i found suitable.

I really don't care about what they say since i'll be the one who will carry it around. Anyhow, i'll make sure to have a space there for the stuff that i'll buy there :)

Besides that, Last Monday way my first official Japanese Test, it's like a midterm exam.

what i was worried about is the Hiragana words, since i got confused between letters very easily.

I scored 74/80 which considered an A, an Excellent standing.

I'm happy, my mistakes where stupid however, when i reviewed the exam, i answered them immediately. I should have focused more >__<"

aside form that,

Our home cat, a stray cat, had gave birth to 5 little kittens and disappeared :S

Poor lil kittens :(

Oh well, I'll be updating soon about our Japan Agenda there.

really can't wait :D

Starting off by Saturday's events
what happened?
We went to the mall, my sister wanted to buy a gift for the newly wed couple. they are coming back today.
We sat in Opra cafe, like usual: i had strawberry cheesecake and mochachino drink :p
then we wanted to go to "Sog wagif" but we didn't. we were too lazy to go out once we returned from the mall >___<"

anyways,
Today, i went to the library to work
and i did do some research and took some book XD
all about manga/anime <--heavenly thesis subject
and Thank you REEM for all the suggested books, they are truly magnificently amazing XD <333 *hugs*

Then, for the Design in context class, i honestly don't know how to think or where to think to develop such things: concept for the project. but, thankfully, a dear friend explained to me what the instructor told her to do when she talked to him about her ideas!!!!

OH yeah, I checked some manga out, they had fullmetal alchemist, Monster, pluto, and Nausicaa which i didnt know that they do: the library i mean >__<"


ABOUT MY JAPANESE CLASS,
i tried practicing some words :/but i dont seem to get them write
i need to practice more and more
and its only Hiragana characters. Meaning: the easy ones <__< -sigh-
well, im having fun, that's whats important right now


i received an email telling that we will be going to the Japanese Ambassador on Thursday and before that, I have to collect the top 2 suggested places. Why me? 'cause obviously i became the leader without knowing :P

and tomorrow we have, the team, a meeting with LELAND
Finally with the team instructor, last time was without him :D
so yeah, im looking forward to that

That's it for now, i'll go print some other stuff, edit my process book, and hopefully my Japanese Class notes :P "total mess"

Friday boredom

Konichiwa everyone,

3 days passes and i haven't updated the blog
lets start by

Tuesday night Feb 3rd
after the 5:00 o'clock class, I and @AbeerSama went to Costa Cafe, the one in the Exhibition hall. We has some latte and we chatted for some hours : )
the weather was so awesome that we didnt want to leave XD

wednesday Feb 3rd:
came to university 'cause i had team meeting for japanese trip :)
we started by introducing ourselves to the team then we started talking about our research and the places we want to visit during the trip. I researched mostly about TOKYO and Joe, my team member, searched about KYOTO. There will be a manga event on Feb 28th, which we want to participate in XD we have to register first and dress up there "Cosplay" 500 yen which is like 20 QR
and i suggested to go to AKIHABARA, the manga/anime/electronic heaven on earth. i so wanna go there (TT__TT)

After the meeting, i went with @maryamhome to Villagio to watch "paranormal activity" i did see it online but once in knew that the ending is different in the cinema rip, i so wanted to see it, and you, some parts plus the ending were so different.
it was interesting, a little bit :P, some girls in the theater screamed their lungs out at the end :P which made me laugh a bit =p

Thursday Feb 4th
i woke up at 9:00 'cause my sister wanted to go to the health care center, her kid "saif" has to take a vaccination!
but it turned out that only on sundays and wednesdays they have the kid's vaccinations, don't know why!
then, she suggested to go out for lunch and we did
we went to City center, had lunch at Eli France Cafe
and i had finally bought my daily focus lenses "which i didn't seem to find almost everywhere"
Then, we, sisters, went to aunt's house for dinner : )


Now
im writting this blog while listening to Kat-tun's music
sorting my tasks out for university and yet, i don't seem to find anything motivating <__< and im graduating in May!!!!
there is a wedding this night and i'm going with my cousin >_<"

i'll see what will happen :)

Resuming Activity

Hello, Been very busy last 2 weeks =.=

Let me summarize what happened:

-Guests arrived from UAE on Wednesday Jan 20th
-Other Guests also arrived from UAE on Jan 21st + Henna Night <--Brother's birthday
-BIG WEDDING: my cousin's wedding Friday Jan 22nd <--best friend's bday "G"
Everybody was tired after then
-My birthday :) sweet 22, Tuesday Jan 26th

I was/still in Denial. Can't motivate myself what so ever,

besides that, i got sick wednesday night, after going to the pear with Naash and AbeerSama. We had a small dinner in Chocolate Bar
I'm all good now, my voice is back and fever is gone

My sister still in town, she didn't go back after the wedding, which is better :)
i really like having her around: her kids make the house feels sweet and warm
I'm planning to take her to The Pearl yesterday, she didn't see it and some other time, i'll take her to the Sharq XD


in Class:
Listening to julian casablancas's song "Glass" Fatma R is playing it
writing this blog
did my thesis research "Manga" some books and some online articles
but didn't do the preparation for the other class, Concept for the identity brand :/ QF Radio
which i literally know nothing about <___<"


Japanese Class:
I'm having a really good time in my japanese class
now, we reached lesson 3
order of places and so on
there will be a mini test on Feb 8th >___< next week
and there will be no classes on Feb 22nd and 24th "week off"
Well, i like the class and i dont want to take any days off
i wanna start practicing the hiragana letters, Sensei showed us the rules of the alphabets and I'm going to search the schedule and print it so i can memorize it :P
